Rehabilitation for Dog
Board and Train Program
The idea behind this approach is to have the dog live at the trainer's home for a period of time (usually ranging from a few days to several weeks), during which they receive one-on-one training with professional trainers who specialize in behavior rehabilitation. The training will typically address issues such as:
Separation anxiety
Excessive barking
Aggression towards people or other dogs
Destructive behaviors
Leash reactivity
Basic obedience training (sit, stay, come, etc.)
In addition to behavior modification, dogs in rehab programs are often taught impulse control, socialization skills, and sometimes even skills to assist with medical conditions or disabilities. These programs are highly beneficial for dogs who need structured, consistent training but also for owners who may not have the time or experience to manage the situation on their own.
